Where Have You Been?

Hi everyone!

Again, it's been a while. A long while. A long, LONG, while. But I haven't just been sittin on my bum all this time. A lot has been going on. The kids are growing - our oldest has become a teenager! My husband and I are still enjoying life together. The world is going more insane and yet God is still in control.

But I'm not here to make a huge long post about anything happening in my life. Well, that's a lie. This IS about something happening in my life.

My husband and I have decided to start a blog together. See, back in 2016, we decided we were tired of being renters and wanted a home for ourselves. But not just any home. We want a place where we can learn to be self-sustaining for as much as we can while teaching our children to do the same. Why? Because you have to know that sooner or later, things are going to get to a point where you have to know how to do things for yourself. Gas is getting higher which increases food costs. Businesses are becoming cut-throat, which means some people are getting laid off. And no matter where you stand in politics, you have to admit, the world as we know it politically is becoming unstable. So yeah...it's best to know how to do some things.

Thing is, how we live now doesn't exactly lend itself to how we want to start living. So, we set our eyes on becoming land owners. And we thought....it would be nice to chronicle our journey. We could share our ups and downs and information for those who may want to go this path as well - or at least take interest in it. With that in mind, we started a blog together called, "Jireh Provisions Homestead".

There you will find information about searching for land, gardening, our various projects, natural health, and since our kids keep us running - quick cooking recipes. It will also link to our Youtube Channel where you can get visuals of various things if you don't want to read the blog.

Either way, I hope that you will still keep up with me...us. And I want to thank you for reading this blog as much as you have. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your being here with me and learning along with me through these years.

Be a blessing!
Deidra
